With over 30 million customers, Nubank is the largest digital bank in Latin America, and one of the world’s most innovative companies in the world. Currently, I lead Design teams across four verticals at Nubank, where I manage a cross-functional team of 20+ product designers, researchers, UX Writers, and design managers. My teams are responsible for all customer-facing interactions related to credit, lending, and collections.

In 2020 alone, I quadrupled the size of the Consumer Lending design team from 4 to 16 people, including bringing on our first content strategist. In doing so, I took care to maintain a strong, supportive culture — even with some of the new designers joining in a fully remote work environment because of the COVID pandemic. In fact, the company-wide, end-of-year engagement survey showed favorable scores (of 100%) from my direct reports related to care, support, leading them to pursue higher performance, providing feedback, and keeping the team focused on clear priorities.

In addition to my role as a manager, I am currently leading design for an innovative product targeted at a new customer segment (launching in early 2021). This involves aligning with cross-functional leaders and presenting to our executive team, as well as managing design sprints and timelines with external partners.
